Race participants undertake to comply with the terms and conditions of the Regulation, as it is made public at the address: https://timisoaratriathlon.ro/regulament/
The competition will be organized on Sunday, July 24, 2022, in Timișoara.
start the swimming event will be given from the location on the Bega channel corresponding to the chosen distance option (see details in the Trials section).
The transition zone is located on the sports field opposite the head office of UVT, on Bd. Vasile Pârvan no. 4.
Finish the for all distance options is in Liberty Square.
The location for picking up the participation kits is the PANUOZZO NAPOLETANO terrace in Libertății Square.
The technical session will take place at the DISCOVERY room of the Hotel Timișoara-Convention Center.
Conditions of participation:
- a state of health that allows participation at these distances;
- ID card of the Romanian Triathlon Federation or – for foreign citizens – of the Triathlon Federation of his country of origin;
- minimum age for participation: 18 years old in the year of the competition (2022);
- time limit: 8 hours.
Age categories:
Open, 18-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-69, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84
An age category is formed if there are at least 5 participants. If there are not 5 participants in a category, the category is unified with the next until the number of participants reaches a minimum of 5.
Travel distances:
- 1.9 km swim;
- 90 km cycling;
- 22 km run.
The small differences from the ITU standard distances are due to the specifics of the route of each trial (details in the Trials section).
Competition Route:
Competitors in the race must complete all 3 events – swimming, cycling and running – in that order and cover the distances mentioned above.
The cycling and running routes will be secured with fences, lanes and cones and car traffic will be closed during the event.
The representatives of the organizers will be present at certain key points, pre-established along the route, and they have the obligation to ensure that all competitors carry out the Competition in perfect safety conditions and that they respect the rules of the Competition.
Competitors who do not respect the official route or shorten it in any way (thus obtaining a competitive advantage) will be disqualified.
