The swimming test will be organized in the Bega Navigable Canal, starting from three locations, closer to the transition area, depending on the race chosen. For all races, swim from upstream to downstream (in the direction of water flow). The start mechanism will be a roll start type.
In case of unfavorable conditions, the organizer of the Competition can change the length of the swimming route. Depending on the water temperature, it will be announced whether the wetsuit is mandatory, optional or prohibited. The final decision will be made one hour before the start of the competition and will be communicated expressly to the athletes through the technical delegate.
In case of cancellation of the swimming event, the Organizer can replace it with a new running event or it can be removed completely.
Competition numbers, swimming helmet and timing chip will be provided by the organizers to the competitors. It is mandatory to wear the swimming helmet provided by the organizer in the start kit.
