SECTION 1. ORGANIZERS AND OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES
The RUN & BIKE EXPERIENCE race is part of the "Timișoara Triathlon" sporting event, is organized by CS Ride Competition and aims to promote multisport competitions in particular and an active lifestyle in general.
Contest participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions of these Official Contest Rules (hereinafter referred to as the “Official Rules”).
By participating in this Competition, participants agree to respect and follow all provisions, terms and conditions of the Official Rules, as well as the rules in force, and to sign the declaration on their own responsibility sent by the organizers until the collection of the participation kit.
SECTION 2. DATE AND LOCATION OF THE COMPETITION
The competition will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Timișoara.
The start will take place from Piața Libertății – Timișoara, with the finish at the same location.
SECTION 3. COMPETITION MECHANISM
3.1.1 PARTICIPANTS AND COMPETITION DEVELOPMENT
This competition is open to anyone who meets the following conditions:
– is over 16 years old
- – has a health condition that allows him/her to participate in the competition tests;
– participate with a functional bicycle, with brakes on both wheels, in good working order. Road bikes, city bikes, mountain bikes, with one or more speeds are allowed.
Time trial bikes or bike models that may endanger the safety of competitors are not allowed.
- – wear a cycling helmet throughout the cycling event.
ATTENTION! If at the time of entering the transition area, the competitor does not present a functional bicycle and/or does not have a cycling helmet, he/she will not be able to start the competition.
3.2. COMPETITIONDEVELOPMENT
Competitors must complete all 3 individual events – run 1, bike and run 2 – in this order and cover the full competition distances for the race they have registered for.
The competition route will be secured by fences, demarcation strips and cones. Representatives of the organizers – members of the route commission – will be present at key points along the route and will ensure that all competitors conduct the competition in safe conditions and that they respect the competition rules.
Competitors who do not respect the official route or shorten it in any way (thus obtaining a competitive advantage) will be disqualified.

3.2.1 COMPETITION TESTS
The competition runs as follows:
- – The first running event, on a 2km loop, starting from Liberty Square.
- – The transition between running 1 and cycling – in Iancu Huniade Square
- – Cycling event that takes place on a 1.7 km loop. 6 laps are made totaling a distance of approximately 10 km. It is the competitor's responsibility to keep track of the laps they have to complete.
- – Transition between cycling and running 2 – at the same location in Huniade Square.
- -The second running event, on a route almost identical to the first run, totaling 2 km, with a finish in Freedom Square.
3.2.2 TRANSITION AREA
The transition zone is the same for T1: running-cycling and for T2: cycling-running.
Access to the transition area will be secured and permitted only for participants.
TRANSITION AREA SECURITY DETAILS:
Access will be made only on the basis of the competition number;
Storage of bicycles and equipment in the transition area will be carried out according to the official event schedule available on the competition website, in the ATHLETES section. For safety reasons, outside of the announced equipment storage interval, access to the transition area will only be allowed to competitors participating in the races at that time.
Bicycle storage in the transition area will be done in the marked location, depending on the competition number.
The pick-up of bikes and equipment left in transition is based on race number only and will be checked by the judges.
a) T1: Running-cycling transition
It involves depositing the running equipment in the box assigned to the competitor and equipping them for the cycling event.
Abandoning items of equipment or other items outside the competitor's assigned box is prohibited.
The helmet must be worn properly and closed before lifting the bike from the rack.
The race number is mandatory. During the cycling event, it will be worn on the back and must be visible to the referees, the public, other competitors and volunteers.
Participants can get on the bike only after crossing the "Mount Bike" line.
b) T2: bike - run transition
Competitors must store their bicycles in the designated area in Transition, according to their competition number.
Competitors must dismount their bikes before the “Dismount Bike” line (placing one foot on the ground before the line) at the end of the cycling event. This line will be marked accordingly and there will be volunteers to announce these areas.
The cycling helmet can only be removed after the bike is placed on the rack.
3.3. SIGN UP
Participants can register by completing the online form on the official website.
Places are not transferable except in special situations (emergency / injury / motivated inability to participate). The transfer cannot be made after the registration closes and a transfer fee of 50 lei will be charged. The same rule applies to changing a participant's position from one race to another. In the case of moving from a race with a higher registration fee to one with a lower registration fee, the difference is not refunded. After the registration closes, no changes will be possible.
All competitors are required to complete and sign a declaration of participation on their own responsibility. By starting the competition, the competitor confirms the validity of the signature.
The participation in the competition of people who have consumed alcoholic beverages / drugs or are under the influence of these substances, of people who have on them weapons of any kind, explosive or incendiary materials, lachrymatory, irritating or paralyzing substances, electroshock devices or other devices that can be used in violent actions or can disrupt the normal development of the event is prohibited.
The people who violate these provisions will be removed by the organizers from the event area, calling for the help of the authorities if necessary.
3.4. EQUIPMENT AND COMPETITION CONDITIONS. CONTEST NUMBERS
Competitors will use their own equipment during the competition. Competitors are advised to wear equipment appropriate to the weather conditions in the day of the competition.
The competition numbers and timing chip will be provided to the competitors by the organizer.
At the bike course:
Competition numbers are fastened with an elastic band and must be worn on the back by each competitor during the bike course. The competition number must not be damaged (cut, torn, bent) or covered in any way.
The cycling helmet is MANDATORY for all competitors during the cycling race, as well as during the pre-race warm-up.
During the running event, it is recommended to use specific running equipment. The competition number is worn on the chest/abdomen, so that it is visible. Running bare-chested is not allowed.
3.5. ESTABLISHING THE RESULTS
The ranking is based on the final time of each participant.
The wristwatch chip provided by the organizers will be returned after crossing the finish line.
The ranking will be done at the Open.
The first 3 male and female places will be awarded.
SECTION 5. ADMINISTRATIVE CONDITIONS
5.1. ADMINISTRATIVE CONDITIONS (DURING RACES)
Participants who give up the race during the competition are obliged to notify the organizer of this fact and hand in the timing chip in the transition area or in the finish area.
Medical care will be provided during the competition in case of accidental injury and the medical team is available near the Finish and transition area.
5.2. ADMINISTRATIVE CONDITIONS (EXCEPTIONAL)
In exceptional situations, which cannot be anticipated, which threaten the safe conduct of the event (e.g. extreme weather conditions, earthquake, pandemic, military conflict), the event will be postponed or cancelled. Any external, unpredictable, absolutely unavoidable event will be considered a force majeure situation, including the situation in which the competition will be canceled as a result of the evolution of the COVID 19 pandemic.
If the competition is postponed or cancelled, the participation fees are non-refundable, the organizer being exonerated from any kind of liability for any damages caused to the participants, in accordance with the provisions of art. 1351 of the Civil Code. If the event is cancelled, the participants will receive the participation kit.
5.3. ADMINISTRATIVE CONDITIONS (GENERAL)
According to the legislation in force, the organizers will make public the names and prizes offered in this competition. The list of winners will be published on the official website within 7 days of the event.
The organizers undertake to comply with the provisions of law no. 667/2001 regarding the protection of personal data.
As a result, the organizers undertake to respect the confidentiality of the personal data of the participants/winners of the competition and to use them according to these official rules, the declarations on the own responsibility of the participants and the legislation in force.
It is forbidden for competitors to leave waste in the competition area, risking disqualification from the competition.
5.4. ADMINISTRATIVE CONDITIONS (ELIGIBILITY)
The organizers reserve the right not to accept in the competition people who:
- are recalcitrant, who do not have a dignified and respectful behavior and go beyond the norms of common sense;
- are violent and aggressive with the organizers or the other participants;
- have consumed alcoholic beverages / drugs or are under the influence of these substances;
- they have on them weapons of any kind, explosive or incendiary materials, tear gas, irritating or paralyzing substances, electroshock devices or other devices that can be used in violent actions or can disrupt the normal development of the event;
- are suspended for doping reasons.
SECTION 6. FINANCIAL RULES
6.1. Participation fee
Participation fees are displayed in the REGISTRATION section and may vary depending on the date of payment.
In case of non-participation, the fee is non-refundable.
The participation fee can be reimbursed as follows:
- – more than 90 days before the event date 100% of the price paid minus 100lei refund fee
- -between 90-60 days before the event date 70% of the price paid.
- -between 60-30 days before the event date 50% of the price paid.
- -less than 30 days before the event date, the fee cannot be refunded.
The organizers reserve the right to modify these Regulations as often as necessary, specifying the version and date of modification.
